VETERANS OPEN HOUSE AT OCEAN COUNTY COLLEGE
TOMS RIVER, NJ Attention veterans: If you have served on active duty since September 11, 2001, come learn about the benefits of the Post-9/11 GI Bill at Ocean County College’s Veterans Open House, scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, at 6:00 p.m. in Conference Room A & B, College Center, OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ. Admission is free.
The Open House will feature information on OCC Admissions and Financial Aid, and a college representative will discuss the Post-9/11 GI Bill, an education benefit program that was signed into law in July 2008. The Bill provides education benefits for service members with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days.
Educational opportunities under the Post-9/11 GI Bill includes graduate and undergraduate degrees, as well as vocational/technical training, offered by an institution of higher learning and approved for GI Bill benefits. Tutorial assistance and certification test reimbursement are also approved under this Bill.
Members of the OCC Veterans Club, part of a national veterans fraternity, will be in attendance at the Open House.
