SENIOR VENTURES OFFERS A FOUR-DAY ADVENTURE!

TOMS RIVER If you are 55 years of age or older, spend time on the beautiful Ocean County College campus, mingle with people who share your interests, enjoy delicious meals, and learn about opera, art history, geography, and literature. Join OCC’s Academy for Lifelong Learning from Tuesday to Friday, August 11 to August 14 for Senior Ventures 2009 on the Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.

On August 11, the day begins at 8:30 a.m. with orientation, refreshments, and giveaways, and includes a morning and afternoon workshop as well as lunch and dessert the day ends at 3:30 p.m. On August 12, August 13, and August 14, each day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. and includes a morning and afternoon workshop as well as lunch and dessert.

Morning Workshops (choose one): “Big Opera: The Grand Tradition” or “Art Now: Art & Artists in the 21st Century.” Afternoon Workshops (choose one): “Where in the World: The Middle East” or “The American Short Story.”

Registration Deadline: July 29. Cost: $119 (Academy members $114) includes a special giveaway, refreshments, and four lunches/desserts (vegetarian option available upon request, please call by 7/29). (Join the Academy and receive special privileges and discounts on programs, courses, and trips. Annual membership fee: $10.)
